FOAM-PRO INSULATING SYSTEMS offers both rigid closed cell foam and semi-rigid open cell foam. I am a licensed Demilec USA contractor/applicator and have extensive credentials and training for this industry and service. What's the difference between Open Cell Foam and Closed Cell Foam?
Open Cell Foam
Sealection 500 is an open-cell, semi-rigid spray-applied polyurethane foam insualtion system which is made up of millions of microscopic cells that simultaneously insulate and air-seal. Sealection 500 has been specifically designed to make your home more energy efficient, comfortable, quiet, and less dusty, and is applied as a liquid which expands into a semi-rigid mass; it automatically "SEALS" off those drafty areas like baseboards, headers, sill plates, around windows, doors, electrical outlets, pipes, etc. It also minimizes uncontrolled air leakage throughout the building envelope (wall, ceilings...) thereby reducing energy losses. read more >
Closed Cell Foam
Heatlok Soy brings The Green Advantage to spray foam insulation. Heatlok Soy is a spray foam insulation that gives, in a single application, an engineered building envelope with a high long-term thermal resistance, an excellent air barrier, and a recognized vapor retarder. This high performance closed cell rigid polyurethane foam is used for commercial and residential perimeter wall insulation and is a spray-applied by authorized applicators. Heatlok is energy efficent, is soy and vegetable oils, recycled and renewable resources, zero ozone depletion, and has a minimum impact on the environment. read more >
